Taking
advantage of four years of experience in the
organisation of car races, and enjoying one of the
most extensive customer lists in Europe and the
support of important partners, Stéphane Ratel
launches the most spectacular and most exclusive
international one-make series for Lamborghini. With
an average entry of 50 cars per event, the BPR
Endurance GT Series is the world's leading sportscar
series. Featuring a breathtaking grid of
world-famous GT cars, headlined by the battle
between the Ferrari F40 LM, the McLaren F1 GTRs and
the Lotus V8s, the series enjoys a resounding
success with spectators and media alike. Live
coverage on Eurosport, the rapid professionalisation
of teams and drivers, increasing costs, the
beginning of factory involvement and the rapid rise
of a new generation of GT cars illustrated by the
Porsche 911 GT1 result in the BPR partners being
faced with momentous decisions.
